Ugly Love By Colleen Hoover

Novel Description
When Tate Collins meets airline pilot Miles Archer, she knows it isn’t love at first sight. They wouldn’t even go so far as to consider themselves friends. The only thing Tate and Miles have in common is an undeniable mutual attraction. Once their desires are out in the open, they realize they have the perfect set-up. He doesn’t want love, she doesn’t have time for love, so that just leaves the sex. Their arrangement could be surprisingly seamless, as long as Tate can stick to the only two rules Miles has for her.

Never ask about the past.
Don’t expect a future.

They think they can handle it, but realize almost immediately they can’t handle it at all.

Hearts get infiltrated.
Promises get broken.
Rules get shattered.
Love gets ugly.

My Review - 5 Amazing Stars *****
Since the first time I read Hopeless I've been fan of Colleen Hoover, always on the lookout for her new and upcoming books. Slammed, This Girl, Point of Retreat and losing hope were absolutely brilliant and so is Ugly Love.

This book is BEAUTIFUL so don't be fooled by the name. Ugly Love is one of the best books I've read this year and certainly place in my all time Young Adult Novels. Her stories are precious and unique with such depth that it's not for the faint hearted.

Though novel  moves back and forward of the past and present through the chapters in both Tate's and Miles perspectives, we can easily catch on to what is happening and how the it moves.

From the very first chapter of the book we get small peaks of Miles only to want more and more, he's mysterious, sexy and smart, and Tate's no less, she's snarky, gorgeous and witty, she has no time for love and he doesn't even like the prospect of love yet they fall deeply and madly.

"I'm attracted to you, Tate" he says, his voice low. " I want you
but I want you without any of that other stuff."

This made me swoon and cry at the same time, its only the beginning of
their relationship but it felt like they've already huddled sooo much
together yet he can't see that they were
made for each other, we also
realise that he may have been burned by something or someone to not want any of that other stuff, no less Tate agrees as she's using her body to think at the time and not her brain ;).

The intense chemistry they have and Tate's stealth to take on his rules regardless how she feels about them is what keeps their only sex relationship stable even though Mile's unknown past intrigued her immensely that she dared to break them a few times  but it gets her nowhere but more confused and intrigued.

“If I were capable of loving someone… it would be you.”

Mile's Pain. When we find out and hits us we feel the pain and horror of it, we cry, cry and cry some more cause there's nothing more we can do, it justifies him and makes us love him all the more. The novel is worth all the tears we give it because it gives us that incredibly ending we longed for since the second we met Tate and Mile's. Their journey wasn't easy by any means but they deserved to go through it as it got them closer and bond together for life.

I've read this book tooo many times now and know what pages have my favourite lines and paragraphs and you should too, Colleen Hoover has done it again by creating these incredible characters and story and its something I won't be forgetting in a long long time. I recommend everyone to read this book and if you already have, read it again!!!

Archer's Voice By Mia Sheridan

Novel Description
When Bree Prescott arrives in the sleepy, lakeside town of Pelion, Maine, she hopes against hope that this is the place where she will finally find the peace she so desperately seeks. On her first day there, her life collides with Archer Hale, an isolated man who holds a secret agony of his own. A man no one else sees.

Archer's Voice is the story of a woman chained to the memory of one horrifying night and the man whose love is the key to her freedom. It is the story of a silent man who lives with an excruciating wound and the woman who helps him find his voice. It is the story of suffering, fate, and the transformative power of love.

My Review - 4 Shining Stars *****
This was my first time reading a novel by Mia Sheridan, I read about her and her books but never picked one up.  With excellent writing structure and the steady pace the story goes by it was easy to get lost in the small town of Pelion with Bree and all its residents.

This story shows and teaches us how a single feature of a human can affect his entire life, his entire perspective of life and how others perceive us too.

Being deprived of love and human contact other than his paranoid uncle for over half a decade Archer is still learning about the basics of socializing with people of his town whilst Bree escapes to the last place she was happy with her family only to be mentally tormented by her past every morning.

"I want to be able to love you more than I fear losing you, and I don't know how . Teach me, Bree. Please teach me. Don't let me destroy this."

This line is so powerful on its own that it shows us so many elements and themes that describe the entire novel. Forcing her way into his life with her quirky rambles and traitorous dog they develop a bond that is so fragile yet so strong. A male asking for guidance instead of being the fearless hero isn't something we see much nowadays but this shows that they are and can be just as much filled with emotions that can't be contained inside and need to be spoken out loud

"Loving you isn't a burden. Loving you is an honour and a joy, Archer."

Got to love it whenever in a novel the three special words are spoken expressed and felt especially when we the readers feel it too as though it's happening it front of live instead of a fiction world. Mia Sheridan has brought her characters to life by making us feel the same emotions that the characters were supposed to feel, the honour and the joy.

This novel gave an insight into a new aspect of love that I hadn't ventured into yet, with constant happiness coming into their lives yet the scare of it being a dream due to a fault that can't be helped. Slight suspense from the beginning  but end with a Happily Ever After, this novel is recommended to everyone.
